ADK Holdings Inc.

株式会社ADKホールディングス

ADK (Asatsu-DK) is Japan's No. 3 integrated advertising agency after Dentsu and Hakuhodo. It was founded as 旭通信社 (Asahi Tsushinsha) in 1956 and merged with 第一企画 (Dai-Ichi Kikaku) in 1999 to form ADK. Its most distinctive strength is anime/IP content, including the planning, production, and rights business for major titles such as Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan, and ONE PIECE. Bain Capital acquired it through a TOB in 2017, and it was delisted in 2018; it is now an unlisted company under Bain.
