Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. is a comprehensive think tank that is 100% owned by Daiwa Securities Group Inc. with three core businesses: Research, covering economic and policy analysis; Consulting, covering management and capital-markets advisory work; and Systems, covering large-scale systems integration and IT consulting for the securities and financial sectors. For international students, it is both a think tank that publishes economic reports and provides television commentary and a major financial IT company that develops securities systems and applies AI and data science. Both paths exist within the same legal entity, so applicants should decide which entry route they want before applying.
