It is a sportswear manufacturing and brand-management group that was delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2025 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation. It operates nine brands, including DESCENTE, le coq sportif, arena, and Umbro, while the legal entity that actually recruits new graduates is DESCENTE JAPAN LTD., which was spun off from the parent company in 2016, rather than DESCENTE LTD. itself.
