Fuji Electric Co., Ltd.
富士電機株式会社
Fuji Electric is not a home-appliance manufacturer. It is an integrated heavy-electrical and power-semiconductor company built around power semiconductors—energy-saving components such as IGBTs and SiC devices—and power electronics. Its operations extend from devices to power generation and power receiving and distribution systems, industrial automation (FA), vending machines, and heating and cooling equipment for food and beverage distribution. A core Furukawa Group company, it originated in a 1923 joint venture between Furukawa Electric and Germany's Siemens, later became the parent from which Fujitsu and FANUC emerged, and ranks fourth in Japan's heavy-electrical industry.
