FUJI SOFT INCORPORATED
富士ソフト株式会社
FUJI SOFT is a representative Japanese independent SIer—a systems integrator not affiliated with a specific manufacturer or financial group. Founded in 1970, it has approximately 7,000 engineers and around 13,000 employees across the group. Its broad scope ranges from embedded software for telecommunications and social infrastructure and machinery control to business systems, network businesses, and proprietary product development. A major change occurred in 2024–2025, when KKR and Bain Capital competed to acquire the company. KKR ultimately completed a tender offer worth approximately ¥600 billion, and FUJI SOFT was delisted on May 16, 2025. It is now an unlisted company under KKR, a private equity firm.
