Hitachi Solutions is a 100%-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. and one of the core systems integrators supporting the Hitachi Group’s digital business, Lumada. It primarily provides systems integration, IT consulting, and DX solutions to customers in manufacturing, distribution, the public sector, finance, and other industries. For international students, it should not be viewed as a smaller version of Hitachi, Ltd., but as a separate legal entity formed through the merger of two Hitachi-affiliated IT companies and later affected by a corporate split. Its project scale and customer level generally fall between the very large projects handled by Hitachi, Ltd. or NTT DATA and those of small- and medium-sized systems integrators.
