Kameda Seika Co., Ltd. is a long-established Niigata confectionery company with a leading-class share of Japan's rice-cracker market through products such as Kameda no Kaki no Tane and Happy Turn. However, it is transforming from a rice-cracker manufacturer into a “Global Food Company.” Since 2022, it has been led by India-born Chair and CEO Leka Raj Juneja; overseas operations, including U.S.-based TH FOODS, which became a wholly owned subsidiary in June 2025, now account for approximately 35% of sales. The company is advancing globalization through three pillars: domestic rice crackers, overseas operations, and food businesses including plant-based products.
