Koikeya Co., Ltd.

Koikeya is not simply the second-ranked company in potato chips. It is a Japanese snack manufacturer that has survived and recently returned to profitability in a highly competitive potato-snack market where Calbee has been reported to hold about seventy percent by choosing not to compete head-on and instead pursuing a high-value-added, premium strategy. It is also a subsidiary in which Nissin Foods Holdings owns approximately 45%, while remaining independently listed and maintaining independent management and recruitment.
