LIXIL is one of Japan's leading housing equipment and building materials companies. It was formed in 2011 through the merger of TOSTEM, a building materials company; INAX, a bathroom and sanitary products company; Shin Nikkei; Sunwave, a kitchen equipment company; and Toyo Exterior. Its business has two main pillars: (1) Water Technology, covering toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, and faucets through brands such as INAX, GROHE, and American Standard; and (2) Housing Technology, covering building materials such as windows, entrance doors, and exterior products through brands such as TOSTEM. It also has a global footprint through GROHE in Germany, American Standard, and other brands.
