McDonald’s Holdings Company (Japan), Ltd. is the independently listed Japanese holding company of U.S.-based McDonald’s Corporation, with Tokyo Stock Exchange code 2702. Its wholly owned subsidiary, McDonald’s Company (Japan), Ltd., actually operates approximately 3,000 hamburger fast-food restaurants nationwide, around 70% of which are franchised. It is one of Japan’s largest restaurant and retail chains, with one of the country’s densest store networks.
