MEITEC was Japan's first technical outsourcing company, including engineer staffing. Its defining feature is that it hires you as an engineer on a permanent employment contract and then assigns you, often on-site, to R&D and design workplaces at major manufacturers. This is not in-house product development; it is a model of accumulating expertise across companies as an engineer.
