Nichicon is a major Kyoto-based capacitor manufacturer whose aluminum electrolytic and film capacitors are widely used in electronic equipment. More importantly, it has developed the NECST business—residential energy storage systems, V2H, and EV fast chargers—into a second pillar alongside capacitors. Its V2H product EVパワー・ステーション (EV Power Station) was a world first, making Nichicon a company expanding from electronic components into decarbonization and EV energy.
