Nissay Information Technology Co., Ltd. (NISSAY IT) is the Nippon Life Insurance Group's in-house IT company and a user-group IT subsidiary established with investment from Nippon Life in 1999. Its core work is to build and maintain Nippon Life's mission-critical systems for insurance policy administration, contracts, and benefit payments, while selling the resulting expertise in stable, large-scale operations to insurance companies, mutual aid organizations, healthcare providers, and local governments outside the group. For international students, it is not an independent systems integrator that takes projects from an unrestricted range of clients; it is a user-group IT company that serves its parent company first and commercializes additional capacity externally.
