Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.

Nomura Research Institute, or NRI, is not simply a think tank or a pure consulting firm. It is a dual-engine company combining management consulting with financial and industrial IT solutions as a major systems integrator. Financial reports show that Financial IT Solutions and Industrial IT Solutions together account for about 80% of revenue and are far larger than the Consulting segment. For international students, NRI is both one of Japan's leading strategy and IT consulting firms and one of the largest contractors for core systems in the securities, banking, and insurance industries. The work, culture, and skill requirements of these two career paths differ substantially, so applicants must first decide which path they want to pursue.
