Osaka Soda Co., Ltd. (formerly known under its previous Osaka Soda corporate name) is a chemical manufacturer founded in 1915. Its defining feature is a two-pillar business structure combining basic chemicals and functional products. Alongside basic chemicals such as caustic soda, chlorine, and epichlorohydrin, it produces high-value-added functional products such as specialty synthetic rubber for automobiles and pharmaceutical separation and purification agents made from silica gel, as well as providing contract pharmaceutical manufacturing. Based in Osaka, the company operates behind the scenes in the chemical, automotive, and pharmaceutical supply chains and has expanded from basic chemicals into high-performance materials and pharmaceuticals.
