Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
東京製鐵株式会社
Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is Japan's largest EAF steelmaker. Its defining combination is 'largest EAF steelmaker + low carbon + debt-free, lean, and highly profitable operations.' Using EAFs that recycle scrap steel, it produces approximately 3 million metric tons annually across 4 domestic plants. Its core H-beam products hold the No. 1 domestic market share, and the company has expanded into hot-rolled coils, heavy plates, and other areas traditionally served by blast-furnace steelmakers while promoting the low-CO2 steel product 'ほぼゼロ.' With only approximately 1,185 employees, it generates about JPY 326.7 billion in revenue and maintains a sound debt-free financial position. Its head office is in Tokyo, with plants including Tahara in Aichi Prefecture.
