Wacoal Corp.

Wacoal is a major Japanese innerwear company headquartered in Kyoto and founded in 1946. Its core products are women's foundation garments, lingerie, and nightwear, alongside outerwear, sportswear, and other textile products. It is not simply a conventional apparel company: human science is central to its business. Since 1964, the Wacoal Human Science Research Center has conducted more than 50 years of body-measurement research on people aged 4 to 69, accumulating data from more than 45,000 people and translating that research into innerwear design. It is a “science × innerwear” company.
