A university bekka is a "留学生別科 / 日本語研修課程" attached to a specific university: you come to Japan on the 留学 status of residence and study for roughly a year, covering not just Japanese but also Japanese affairs and foundation subjects, all aimed at progression rather than survival Japanese. Its key difference from a language school is that it ties your prep year into one host university's ecosystem — campus courses, facilities, student services, and the 学部推薦 entry routes that some schools spell out officially. Whether it's worth it hinges on whether that university actually has the faculty you want and states its recommendation rules and thresholds online; 専願 commitments plus attendance and grade bars often come attached, and "has a bekka" never means "guaranteed promotion." On finishing, you can move into the host university via internal recommendation or a private-student exam, or sit other universities' 学部 exams as a student who has already done a year of prep in Japan.

「大学別科 / 留学生別科 / 別科日本語研修課程」不是独立的日本语学校法人，而是隶属于某一所大学、纳入学校教育法框架的大学内部课程。文科省引学校教育法第91条说明：大学可设別科，对象是已具备大学入学资格者，目的在施以「簡易な程度」之「特別の技能教育」，修业年限一年以上；文科省又把「留学生別科」与研究生、聴講生、科目等履修生并列为大学的「非正規生」受入类型。所以它真正的价值不在「会不会教日语」，而在它是否连着母体大学的学部入口、资源入口与推荐入口。别科法律定位、是否纳入「認定日本語教育機関」体系，口径逐情形不同 [要確認]。

选别科 vs 语校的真实取舍维度，不是「谁更会教日语」，而是「要不要把这一年预备期绑定在某个母体大学的生态里」。想要母体大学资源、内部进路面谈、可能的推薦型入口、大学设施使用权——别科更贴；目标院校分散、专业跨度大、想最大限度保留自由择校空间、甚至准备中途改城市改校——语校（A1）通常更适合。这块只给取舍维度，不下结论。两条路在在留资格层面都走「留学」，续签逻辑见在留泳道。
