English-Degree Bachelor: Apply From Abroad, Graduate in English

Often called the "SGU / G30 / PEAK route," this is really a cluster of English-taught bachelor programs for overseas high-school graduates that let you complete most of the application from abroad — not one national exam; each program's own admissions sets the rules. Three things set it apart from the Japanese-taught 学部 path: it isn't tied to EJU but runs a holistic review of SAT / ACT / IB / A-Level / national exams plus English scores, an Essay, and recommendation letters; most intakes are September or October, so the application season and official-score arrival deadlines are the real hidden cutoff; and you enter as an English-degree student from the start, with no language school first. It fits strong-English high schoolers who want to finish a degree in English and apply remotely. But "graduating in English" doesn't mean living, working part-time, or job-hunting in Japan without Japanese. Don't confuse these undergraduate English programs with 帰国生・外国人 special admissions (often a Japanese-degree gateway), nor with graduate-level English-taught programs.
