This path fits students already a year or two into a university abroad who don't want to restart from year one: you carry your earned credits into a Japanese university's 編入学/転入学 admission, aiming to land at 2nd- or 3rd-year standing. The big difference from re-sitting general admission is that the university — not you — decides which credits count, judging not by course titles but by your transcript, syllabi, and your home school's credit-system documentation. So the real work is course-by-course mapping and framing your prior study as one continuous academic thread, not explaining "why change countries." The entry year, credit-recognition caps, and how enrolled years are counted all vary by school and faculty, and are often finalized only after you're accepted. From here you continue to your bachelor's degree, then on to employment or graduate school.
