Study in Japan defines transfer admission as 'mid-year' entry into a university faculty for junior-college and similar graduates, while warning plainly: many universities have a transfer system, but that neither means it runs every year nor that the junior college's study years and earned credits are recognized as-is. In other words, the road's existence comes from the system; 'graduating in two years' turns on each school's credit recognition and curriculum structure. The closer the major, the likelier year 3 and a two-year finish usually hold; the further it drifts, the likelier a drop to year 2 or make-up delays [verify].
